The Sven Lovén Centre for Marine Sciences (SLC) is the largest Swedish marine research infrastructure unit, and is financed by UGOT. Kristineberg Marine Research Station offer good opportunities for researchers, for those working here all year around as well as those visiting during a shorter period. Both groups are important for Kristineberg since they enrich each other, the former by giving continuity, acting as an attracting force for visiting researchers and contributing to renewal of the infrastructure. There are currently three cameras placed close to the Kristineberg Marine Research Station (part of the Sven Loven Centre for Marine Sciences at the University of Gothenburg).
